My Lakshmi, not the pataka

This story revolves around two people, Parul and Veer. Parul was an orphan and Veer's parents left him when he was just 21. They both were married for 2 years but Veer hated her deeply because she was his replaced bride. On the other hand Parul, loved Veer deeply but was always heart broken because of his cold demeanor. It was Diwali and Veer's friends had came to their house and there was Lakshmi puja held. Then Veer did something which absolutely shocked everyone present there.
